ChristianaCare’s Oct. 3 Epic cutover is tied to role-based training and readiness checks for caregivers.
ChristianaCare’s July 2026 newsroom update scheduled an Oct. 3, 2026 Epic go-live and said the system was in the final stage, with less than three months remaining. COO Ric Cuming said training mixes on-demand modules with live, role-based instruction, and that readiness checks are meant to make sure caregivers finish required training before they use the new system. The same update said that once ChristianaCare is live, all Delaware health systems — and many in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland — will be on Epic, with Care Everywhere for outside visits. Patients are told to keep appointments unless ChristianaCare contacts them. Becker’s Hospital Review, Naomi Diaz, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, also reported the Oct. 3 date and said the EHR switch has been underway since a 2024 decision.
